Two young men of different views are drafted into the Russian army. The liberal tries to avoid the draft and resists, while the second sticks with prejudices, which he is unaware of. In the combat zone, the liberal loses his minds and kills a man because he did not obey to his whim. The other, shocked, does not follow the order of the general the next day and tries to desert.
